Itinerary
The Samburu Special Five safari tour starts at the heart of Kenya, Nairobi, with a scheduled pickup. Depart Nairobi with either a mini safari van or a 4X4 Toyota Land Cruiser for the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve. Stop over briefly at the Nanyuki Equator crossing point and drive further to arrive at Samburu in time for a late hot lunch. Enjoy the first introductory game drive from 1530hrs till sunset, return to the lodge or campsite for dinner, and overnight.
Our day is scheduled for a thrilling unforgettable adventure in search of the rare Samburu Special five that are in large numbers, the African Elephants that traverse the EwasoNg’iro Riverbanks seeking respite from the sun, cheetahs, lions, warthog, hyenas, wild dogs, antelopes, gazelle and many wild animal and bird species.
In addition, in the evening, enjoy optional activities such as nature walks, cultural tours visiting the locals, or other activities at the lodge at extra cost. After a great day with the Samburu special five dinners and overnight, will be served at your lodge or camp.
The safari experience is not complete without a final view of the Samburu special five, early morning before breakfast enjoy a great game drive for morning photography. Before 0900am, enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out, and leave Samburu National Reserve for Nairobi. We arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon or early evening and later on transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight to other safari destinations or drop off at your Nairobi Hotel.
