7 Days
Day 1 :
Nantodo

Arrive in Nanyuki, where aour camel safari guide and driver will meet you for a 3-hour transfer to the start of your walk. A short hike will take you to the first camp, set along a winding sand river near the stunning granite pinnacle of Nantodo. This majestic rock rises from the plains, serving as a landmark for miles around. After a relaxing lunch and some downtime under the shade of umbrella-shaped Acacia trees, you may choose to hike up Nantodo, where you can toast the breathtaking views of the Mathews Range and Karisia Hills. With luck, you'll spot Greater Kudu or Elephant herds. Back at camp, hot showers and cool drinks await, followed by a dinner under the stars to the serenade of Nightjars.

Start the day at sunrise, walking along the sand river in search of wildlife like Klipspringers, Verreaux Eagle Owls, warthogs, and elephants. Your journey will take you uphill to a camp on a ridge near Ngai Suisui, a dramatic pinnacle offering stunning 360-degree views. This is also the nesting site for Verreaux Eagles, and the perfect spot to enjoy sundowners as you take in the panoramic landscape.

Day 3 :
Nagaratat

At dawn, hike down a spectacular valley to the serene Namasaa along the river’s edge, shaded by towering Neutonia trees. Keep an eye out for hippos in the deep pools before climbing out of the valley via a rocky river course. Once on higher ground, look for elephants and the rare Pancake Tortoises that live in rock crevices. From your camp, you might witness local herders bringing livestock to drink, or enjoy an evening stroll by the river, spotting colorful birds.

Continue upstream, keeping watch for Greater Kudu, Waterbuck, elephants, and the incredible array of birdlife. Arrive at your camp by lunchtime, where you can cool off in nearby pools. In the evening, take a relaxed walk along the river, scanning for the elusive Leopard or observing the Baboons settling into the cliffs for the night

After an early morning hike out of the valley, you'll drive to Tumaren for a luxurious bush brunch. Spend the night in spacious tents with sweeping views of the Laikipia Plateau, Mount Kenya, and the Aberdares. The plains here teem with wildlife, complementing the more elusive species of the lower Ewaso.
